Upscaling

Upscaling enlarges a generated image or clip after the fact, inventing the extra pixels with a second model. It is how a 720p render becomes a 1080p or 4K deliverable without being regenerated.

Upscalers are a separate class of model from the generator. They add plausible detail rather than real detail, which is usually invisible on a photographic subject and very visible on text, faces at small scale and fine repeating patterns.

The alternative is to generate at the size you need in the first place, which costs nothing extra on engines that offer it and avoids the artefacts entirely.

On eroq

There is no upscaler on eroq. Pick the engine that renders at the size you need — 1080p on Seedance 2.5, Seedance 1.0 Pro, Kling and Veo 3 Fast; 720p on Motion One, Seedance Lite and Hailuo. Images render at their model's native size.

Can I upscale an eroq render to 4K?

Not on eroq — there is no upscaling step. The highest any engine renders is 1080p, so a 4K deliverable means upscaling elsewhere, in your editor or a dedicated tool.

Which engines render 1080p?

Seedance 2.5, Seedance 1.0 Pro, Kling 2.5 Turbo and Veo 3 Fast. Motion One, Seedance Lite and Hailuo 02 cap at 720p.

Does a bigger render cost more credits?

No. Credit prices are per clip and per image, set by the engine and the length, not by the resolution you choose within what that engine offers.
