Voice cloning
Upload a minute of clean speech and the voice is yours to direct: in the voice studio, assigned to a Character so they speak in every scene, and through the API with the clone's id. Clones live only in your account, read thirteen languages, and cost the same per character as the roster voices.
50 free credits · no card · adults only, by policy
Getting a good clone
- →One speaker, no music, no room echo — a phone recording in a quiet room beats a noisy studio take.
- →Natural speech, not a performance: a minute of someone talking normally.
- →Name it clearly; the clone appears in the voice picker next to the roster.
Consent and policy
Clone voices you own or have permission to use. Impersonating real, identifiable people is banned by the acceptable-use policy and enforced at the account level. Original characters, your own voice, voices you license: all fine.
Where the clone speaks
Pick it in the voice studio, assign it to a Character (their lines in the text studio and in films use it), or pass its id — or `char:<id>` — as `voice` to POST /v1/audio/speech. Voice One for expressive reads, Voice Turbo for volume.
Frequently asked questions
How much audio do I need to clone a voice?
About a minute of clean, natural speech from one speaker is enough; cleaner audio matters more than length.
Is my cloned voice private?
Yes — clones are stored for your account only and never appear in the public roster.
Can I clone someone else's voice?
Only with permission. Cloning real people without consent is banned by the acceptable-use policy.
Does cloning cost extra?
No — speech from a clone is billed like any voice: 3 credits per 100 characters on Voice One, 2 on Voice Turbo.
