AI clips, stills and voice-over inside your NLE — eroq for DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro and After Effects

How the eroq editor plugins work. Renders that land in the Media Pool or the project bin as they finish, engines by name with their price, voice-over from the roster or your clones, and a real editing session.

An editor's workflow has one rule: the footage is in the project or it does not exist. The eroq plugins for DaVinci Resolve and for Premiere Pro and After Effects follow it — write the shot, pick the engine, Generate, and the clip is in the Media Pool or the project bin when it lands, with a local copy kept. Same for a still and for a voice line. This guide is the two installs, the panel, and a cut done with it.

DaVinci Resolve

A Python script under Workspace → Scripts, on the free edition and on Studio.

  1. Download the zip from the Resolve page and run the installer inside — install.command on macOS, install.bat on Windows.
  2. In Resolve, Workspace → Scripts → eroq, then Connect eroq: the browser opens eroq.ai, sign in, click Allow. The tab says it is connected; close it.
  3. Choose Video, Image or Speech, write the prompt, Generate. The render appears in an « eroq » bin of the current project.

Tick Append to timeline and the clip is cut in at the end of the active timeline as soon as it arrives. Resolve needs Python 3 on the machine to run scripts; if the Scripts menu is empty, that is why, and the README lists the versions.

Premiere Pro and After Effects

One CEP panel for both apps.

  1. Download the zip from the Premiere page and follow the README: during the beta the extension is unsigned, so there is a one-time developer-mode switch.
  2. Restart the app and open Window → Extensions → eroq, then Connect eroq: sign in and Allow in the browser.
  3. Video, Image or Speech; prompt; Generate. The file is imported into the open project — and into an eroq folder on disk, so it survives a project move.

Premiere Pro 2019 (v13) or later; After Effects 2019 (v16) or later. macOS and Windows.

Both plugins get a key named after the app and the machine — « DaVinci on edit-bay-2 (connected) » — under Developers → API keys on eroq; revoke it there to disconnect. Reconnecting the same name replaces its key.

The panel

The same three tabs in each host, and the same choices as the studio because they read the same API:

  • Video — engine by name, from the 16 in the lineup, with the price of the length you chose and the plan a locked engine needs. Length on the engine's grid; frame format; a reference image on engines that read one. A five-second clip is 45 credits on Seedance 2.0 Mini, 170 on Kling 3.0, 530 on Veo 3.1. Renders take one to five minutes; the panel polls and imports.
  • Image — model, prompt, five frame formats; 10 credits on Krea 2. Seconds to land.
  • Speech — the line, a voice from the roster or one of your clones; an MP3 imported next to your footage. 3 credits per 100 characters on Voice One.

The balance sits in the header, from /v1/account. Locked engines are shown, not hidden, with the plan that unlocks them. Failed renders refund themselves, and a policy refusal shows eroq's message.

A session: the missing insert

You are cutting a 40-second product spot in Resolve. The client's footage has the product on the table and the model's hands; it has no establishing shot and no close-up of the logo.

  1. Video tab. « Slow push-in on a matte black speaker on a walnut sideboard, morning light through linen curtains, dust in the beam. » Kling 3.0, 5 seconds, 16:9 — 170 credits. Append to timeline off; you want to place it. Two minutes later it is in the eroq bin.
  2. Image tab. « Extreme close-up of a brushed-aluminium logo plate, shallow depth, warm rim light », 16:9, Krea 2 — 10 credits. A still; you will add a 3-second push in Resolve's transform.
  3. Speech tab. The tag line, in the client's cloned voice from the studio — 3 credits for a short line. It lands in the bin; drop it under the last shot.
  4. Cut the establishing shot first, the still over the logo mention, the voice under the end card.

183 credits, no export from a browser, no import dialog.

When the render needs more than one shot

The panel renders a clip. For a sequence — several shots that must match, a cast that stays the same, continuous shots from one to the next — write it in Cinema, render the scenes there, export the cut and import that. The panel is for inserts, plates and voice; Cinema is for the film. The Cinema note explains the split.

Where the files are

Every render is in your eroq Library with its recipe, and in a local eroq folder next to the imports — the panel downloads right away because media links are signed and expire. Delete the local copy and re-download from the library any time.

FAQ

Does it work in the free version of Resolve?

Yes. Scripts launched from Workspace → Scripts run in both editions; the plugin needs Python 3 installed.

Is it the same panel for Premiere Pro and After Effects?

Yes — one extension runs in both apps and imports into whichever project is open.

Why is the Adobe install manual?

The extension is not signed for the Adobe Exchange yet during the beta; the README walks through the one-time developer-mode switch. Nothing else about the install is unusual.

Can I choose the resolution?

On engines that offer several, yes — the panel lists what the engine serves, up to 2K on Hailuo 3 and 1080p on several others, priced per second at that resolution.

Download from the Resolve or Premiere Pro page — the first insert is on the free credits.
