Section tags
Section tags are markers like [Verse], [Chorus] and [Bridge] written on their own lines in song lyrics, telling an AI music generator where each part of the song begins. They shape the arrangement: a chorus that returns, a bridge that changes the mood, an outro that lands the ending.
A song engine sings everything in the lyrics, so the tags are the one piece of structure it reads rather than sings. Without them the words run as one long verse; with them the melody, the energy and the instrumentation change from part to part.
The common set is [Intro], [Verse], [Pre-Chorus], [Chorus], [Bridge] and [Outro]. A chorus repeated twice or more is what makes a song memorable, and roughly one sung line every four or five seconds keeps the words inside the song's length.
On eroq
In the music studio's Custom mode the lyrics take section tags on their own lines (the Syntax menu inserts them, and Simple mode writes them for you), and POST /v1/music/generations accepts the same lyrics. The sound (language, vocals, genre, tempo, instruments) goes in Style, never in the lyrics.
Questions
Which section tags work?
[Intro], [Verse], [Pre-Chorus], [Chorus], [Bridge] and [Outro], each on its own line above the words of that part.
Can I put instructions in the lyrics?
No: everything in the lyrics gets sung, including notes and stage directions. Put the sound in Style, and keep the lyrics to the words and the tags.
Do I have to write the tags myself?
No. In Simple mode, or with Surprise me on empty lyrics in Custom mode, the songwriter writes the lyrics with their tags for you.
