Explore — the community shelf, inside the studio

The Community page is the billboard: a public shelf, on the marketing site, for people who are not signed in. Creators browsing it from the studio kept leaving the tool to look and coming back to make. So the shelf now has a second home, Explore, at /studio/explore — same feed, told in the studio's grammar, with a viewer that opens in place. Short note; there is not much to explain and that is the point.

What it is

The community feed — everything published, films, clips, stills and voice lines — in the studio's left rail, under Home. Same data as /community, one generous fetch, composed on the client:

• Tabs by kind: All, Films, Clips, Stills, Voices.
• Sorts: Trending (likes, comments and views, weighted toward what is fresh), New (latest premieres first), Top (most liked of all time).
• A media grid, the studio's own, not the billboard's rows.
• A viewer that opens over the grid: play, like, read the comments, close, keep scrolling. Browsing never leaves the tool.

The tab and the sort ride the URL (?kind=film&sort=top), so a reload, a back from the community page or a ⌘K deep link lands where you were. Likes work from the viewer, optimistically, and count the same as on the public page.

The Make button

An empty tab — no films yet, or nothing in a filter — has a way out that is not a dead end: Make a film opens Cinema, Make a clip the Video tool, Make an image the Image tool, Make a voice line the Voice tool. Explore is there to send you back to making.

What stays the same

Publishing is unchanged: from the Library, a Video result, or a film in Cinema, with a title and a cover. What is public is the media, the title, the cover and the counts; prompts, looks, seeds and takes are never shown, on Explore or anywhere. Unpublish keeps the engagement for a re-publish. The community note has the rules.

Nothing on Explore is indexed by search engines; the public shelf is. Explore is a working view for people who are signed in.

Can I publish from Explore?

Not from Explore itself; publish from the Library, a Video result or a film. Explore is for browsing what is out.

Yes, like views on the public page — deduplicated per viewer per day.
