Auto top-up
The balance refills itself when it runs low: the workspace owner picks a threshold, a pack and a monthly limit, charged to the saved card.
Auto top-up buys a pack for you when the workspace balance falls below a threshold, so a render queue or an API pipeline does not stop at zero. It is off until the workspace owner turns it on, and it only ever buys the pack they picked, up to the monthly limit they set.
Turning it on
- 1
Open Billing and click Auto top-up. Only the workspace owner sees it: it charges the owner's card.
- 2
Pick the threshold (below 200, 500, 1,000 or 2,500 credits), the pack to buy (Starter $10, Plus $25, Builder $50 or Scale $100) and the most it may run in a calendar month (1, 2, 4 or 8 times).
- 3
Tick the red box: the card is charged without asking, and any member's spending can trigger it.
- 4
Turn it on. With a card already saved from a card plan, it is on at once and an email confirms the settings. Without one, the pack is bought once now: paying it saves the card and turns auto top-up on.
How it runs
When a generation leaves the balance under the threshold, the pack is bought on the saved card and its credits land on the balance; an hourly check catches any balance that slipped under without a generation.
One purchase at a time: two renders crossing the threshold together buy one pack, not two.
Each automatic purchase gets the pack's listed credits, without the first-purchase or offer bonuses, and every one emails a receipt.
Once it has run as many times as the monthly limit allows, it pauses until the next calendar month and the notification bell says so once. Top up by hand or raise the limit in the meantime.
A refused card turns auto top-up off at once: nothing more is charged, and the owner gets an email and a notification. Update the card, then turn it back on.
What it does not do
It is card only, through the card checkout: crypto payments cannot buy automatically. Admins can still buy packs by hand, but cannot see or change auto top-up. Turning it off in Billing is immediate, and the saved card is kept for the next time you turn it on.
