AI instrumental and beat generator: backing tracks from one sentence

Make instrumentals and beats with AI: lo-fi, trap, synthwave, cinematic beds. One switch removes the vocals; 30 seconds to 4 minutes, MP3 in your Library, priced per 30 s.

Not every track needs a singer. A voice-over needs a bed that stays out of the way, a stream needs a loop, a short needs eight bars of energy, and a writer needs something to write over. eroq's Music One makes all of those with one switch: Instrumental.

How to make an instrumental

  1. Open Music.
  2. Switch on Instrumental. The song renders with no vocals and the lyrics are left out.
  3. Describe the sound. In Simple mode, one sentence: "a slow lo-fi hip-hop instrumental for a rainy night drive, dusty drums and soft keys". In Custom mode, put the same words in Style.
  4. Pick a length (30 seconds to 4 minutes, in steps of 30) and one or two takes, then Generate.

Each take lands in your Library as an MP3, 320 kbps, 48 kHz stereo, with no download cap.

Writing the style for a beat

A beat prompt is all sound and no story, so be specific about the parts a producer would name:

  • Genre and era: "late-90s boom bap", "2010s trap", "80s synthwave", "modern lo-fi".
  • Tempo: a BPM ("86 BPM") or a feel ("half-time", "driving").
  • Drums: "dusty breakbeat", "808s and rolling hi-hats", "brushed snare", "four-on-the-floor kick".
  • Harmony and lead: "Rhodes chords", "detuned saw pads", "nylon guitar", "solo cello".
  • Texture and mood: "vinyl crackle", "tape warmth", "wide reverb", "tense", "hopeful".

Describe the sound rather than naming a producer or an artist: genre, era and instrument words are what Music One follows.

Starting points

Paste any of these into Simple mode with Instrumental on:

  • Study loop: "A calm lo-fi hip-hop instrumental, 80 BPM, Rhodes chords, dusty drums, vinyl crackle, rain in the background."
  • Trap beat: "A dark trap instrumental, 140 BPM half-time, heavy 808s, rolling hi-hats, eerie bell melody."
  • Stream intro: "An energetic synthwave instrumental, driving bass, bright arpeggios, gated drums, night-city mood."
  • Documentary bed: "A slow cinematic ambient instrumental, warm strings, soft piano, low drones, hopeful and patient."
  • Product video: "An upbeat acoustic pop instrumental, handclaps, ukulele, light percussion, sunny and clean."
  • Thriller tension: "A tense orchestral underscore, pulsing low strings, ticking percussion, rising dread."

What it costs

Music One bills 3 credits per started 30 seconds, per take, vocals or not:

  • a 30-second loop: 3 credits;
  • a one-minute bed: 6 credits;
  • a four-minute backing track: 24 credits.

Two takes, the studio default, cost twice that; a take that fails is refunded on its own. No plan is needed: a $10 pack of 1,000 credits pays for instrumental at 6 credits a minute, one take.

Putting the beat under something

  • Under a voice-over: render the narration in the voice studio, then lay both on the Editor's timeline and turn the bed down under the voice. Pick the instrumental length to cover the narration.
  • Under a film: open the song under Your songs and press Score a film: Cinema starts a film on the track, you build the scenes on top and export an MP4.
  • Under a short: a 30-second take covers most shorts. Keep the same Style words from video to video and your channel gets a sound.

Limits worth knowing

  • No stems. You get one stereo MP3, not separate drums, bass and keys.
  • No loop points. A take is a piece of music with a start and an end, not a seamless loop; trim it on the Editor's timeline.
  • Length is a target. A track can find its ending a little before the length you chose; the Library shows its real length.
