What Veo 3.1 Lite is for

Lite puts Veo's native audio within reach of any account: a talking-head line, a product beat with its sound, an ambient loop with real room tone. It is also the cheapest place to test a Veo sound prompt before rendering it on Fast or 3.1 — the prompts carry over.

How to prompt it

→Name what we hear as precisely as what we see, and keep dialogue short, in quotes, after the speaker.
→No reference pictures on Lite: describe your cast concretely, or set a start frame of the character for an exact face — then describe only the motion.
→Use an end frame to land on a precise last image, such as a final pose or a product shot.
→Put what should not appear in the Avoid field rather than in the prompt.
→Turn the soundtrack off for B-roll: silent clips cost less per second.
