Generate AI images and video in Figma from your selection

Design work needs pictures long before anyone has shot them: the hero of a landing page, the lifestyle image in a product card, the background of a social template. The eroq Figma plugin renders them where they are used — as fills on your canvas, next to the frame you are designing — and it can start from what you have already drawn.

Install (beta)

During the beta the plugin is imported from its manifest, which needs the Figma desktop app:

1. Download the zip from eroq for Figma and unzip it.
2. In Figma desktop, open Plugins → Development → Import plugin from manifest… and pick manifest.json.
3. Run it from Plugins → Development → eroq — AI images & video.

Connect

Click Connect eroq. Your browser opens eroq.ai: sign in if needed, click Allow, and the page shows a code with a Copy code button. Paste it into the plugin — it connects as soon as you paste. Figma plugins cannot receive a browser redirect, hence the copy step; the code works once, for two minutes, and only in the plugin that asked for it.

The plugin's key appears under Developers → API keys as a « Figma … (connected) » entry, and Disconnect (the ⋯ menu) revokes it.

From a prompt

In the Image tab, write the prompt, pick a model and a format — 1:1, 3:4, 4:3, 9:16 or 16:9 — and press Generate. The button shows the price before you click: 10 credits on Krea 2, 20 on Eroq One.

The render lands as a rectangle with an image fill at its own aspect (1024 px on the long side), named after your prompt, selected and scrolled into view. It goes next to your selection — or the middle of the screen — and never on top of another layer, so a series of renders lines up neatly for comparison.

From your selection

This is the part that makes the plugin a design tool rather than a picture fetcher. Tick Use selection as reference and the first four selected layers go along with the prompt as reference pictures:

• A wireframe or a rough sketch — the render follows your layout: where the subject sits, where the headline space is.
• A product shot — keep the product, change everything around it: « the same bottle on a marble counter, morning light ».
• A mood frame — a collage of references for color and texture.

The layers are exported at a sensible size (the long side between 1024 and 1536 px) and passed straight to the engine; nothing is stored on eroq's side. Engines that read no pictures simply ignore them.

Video fills

The Video tab works the same way, with the engine's native formats and lengths up to 10 seconds. Tick Use selection as first frame and the selected layer becomes the clip's opening frame — a static key visual that starts moving. Because the video API takes picture links, that frame is uploaded to your eroq Storage first (folder Figma; no credits, it counts toward your storage quota). The price shown is an estimate computed the way the API bills; a five-second Seedance 2.0 Mini clip is 45 credits.

Figma accepts video fills in paid teams (Professional, Organization, Education), up to 100 MB per clip. On other plans the plugin places the clip's first frame as an image, tells you why, and gives you the clip's link; the clip itself is always in your eroq library.

Working rhythm

• Up to four renders run at once, each with a tile under Recent. Close the plugin mid-render and the result waits there when you come back.
• Select a render the plugin placed and Reuse its prompt to iterate on it.
• ⌘/Ctrl + Enter in the prompt generates.
• Errors are eroq's own words — not enough credits, a refused prompt, a plan-gated engine — and failed renders refund themselves.

FAQ

Does it work in Figma in the browser?

Running it does, but the beta is imported from its manifest, which only the desktop app can do. Once it is published to the Community, the browser will work like any plugin.

Does it work in FigJam?

It targets Figma design files.

Are my designs sent anywhere?

Only the layers you tick as references, only for that render. For images they pass through to the engine and are stored nowhere; a video first frame is kept in your own eroq Storage.

What does it cost?

The studio's credit prices, shown on the Generate button before every render. New eroq accounts start with 50 free credits.
