AI image generation cost in 2026 — per model, per plan, per idea

What AI images cost in 2026: the price of every image model on eroq in credits and dollars, what a plan month buys, and the real cost of one finished idea.

The sticker price of an AI image is the smallest number in the budget. What you actually pay for is the number of takes it costs to reach one you keep, and that depends far more on how you work than on which model you open. On eroq every image model charges one flat price per take, at any format, and the spread between the cheapest and the dearest is wide: from $0.10 to $1.24 a take at the entry pack. Here are the prices of all 13 models, what a plan month is worth in images, and the cost of one finished idea under four recipes.

The unit: credits

Everything on eroq is billed in credits from one wallet.

  • Packs: $10 buys 1,000 credits, which puts a credit at $0.0100, about a cent. Bigger packs add a bonus: $50 buys 5,500 (10% extra), $100 buys 12,000 (20% extra).
  • Plans: Hobby is $15 a month for 1,800 credits, Creator $49 for 6,000, Studio $149 for 20,000.
  • Nothing expires. Pack credits never expire and unused plan credits roll over.

Dollar figures below use the entry-pack rate unless a plan is named.

Price per take, every image model

Model Maker Credits per take At the entry pack Typical render
Flash Image eroq 10 $0.10 a few seconds
Krea2 eroq 10 $0.10 about 15 s
Eroq Uncensored eroq 10 $0.10 about 15 s
Anima eroq 10 $0.10 about a minute
Flux Image eroq 12 $0.12 about 20 s
Eroq One eroq 20 $0.20 about 30 s
GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst OpenAI 31 $0.31 about 15 s
GPT Image 2.5 Flare OpenAI 31 $0.31 about 15 s
Nano Banana 2.1 Google 31 $0.31 about 8 s
Flux 3 Image Black Forest Labs 32 $0.32 about 20 s
Grok Imagine 2.0 xAI 32 $0.32 about 15 s
Seedream 5.0 Pro ByteDance 36 $0.36 about 20 s
Nano Banana Pro Google 124 $1.24 about 25 s

Render times are typical, not promised. If you are choosing an engine rather than a budget, the best AI image models of 2026 sorts the same lineup by job.

What does not change the price

  • Format. 1:1, 3:4, 4:3, 9:16 and 16:9 all cost the same.
  • Failures. A render that fails refunds itself automatically.
  • Refusals. A prompt a provider refuses returns content_blocked and costs nothing; anything involving minors is refused before a credit is charged.
  • Batching. One to four takes per run, each billed and refunded on its own, so a batch of four is simply four times the price.
  • Your plan. No image model needs one: all of them run on any plan, pay-as-you-go included.

What a month buys

Plan Price and credits Per credit One Sunburst take One Nano Banana Pro take
Starter pack $10, 1,000 $0.0100 $0.31 $1.24
Hobby $15, 1,800 $0.0083 $0.26 $1.03
Creator $49, 6,000 $0.0082 $0.25 $1.01
Studio $149, 20,000 $0.0075 $0.23 $0.92

In volume terms, using the recipes below: twenty ideas on the budget recipe come to 1,520 credits, against Hobby's 1,800. Twenty on the Google ladder are 4,960 credits, against Creator's 6,000. Thirty-five straight to the top are 17,360 credits, against Studio's 20,000.

Cost per idea

An idea is not one image; it is the takes it costs to reach a keeper. Four common recipes, each ending in one keeper:

Recipe Takes Credits At the entry pack
Budget: 4 Flash Image drafts, 1 Seedream 5.0 Pro finish 5 76 $0.76
One engine: a batch of 4 on Sunburst 4 124 $1.24
Google ladder: 4 Nano Banana 2.1 drafts, 1 Pro finish 5 248 $2.48
Straight to the top: 4 Nano Banana Pro takes 4 496 $4.96

The same idea costs 6.53 times as much on the last recipe as on the first. Neither is wrong: the top recipe buys fidelity and accurate text in every take, the budget one buys range at the draft stage. How to run a ladder without losing the composition you found is the subject of draft fast, finish high-fidelity, and Nano Banana Pro vs Nano Banana 2.1 covers the Google pair in detail.

The extras that do cost

  • A permanent public URL through the API. store: true adds 2 credits per started 10 MB; the image API guide shows where it fits.
  • Motion. Animating a still is billed per second of video: 45 credits for five seconds on Seedance 2.0 Mini, 60 on Motion One.
  • Vague prompts. Not a line item, but the largest cost in most budgets. Every re-roll caused by a prompt that named no light, no lens and no surface is a full-price take.

Packs or a plan, for images

Images alone never require a plan, so packs suit occasional work. Plans win on the per-credit rate as soon as you use them every month, and they matter more on the video side, where engines unlock by plan: Kling 3.0 from Hobby, Seedance 2.5 from Creator. The full grid is on pricing.

FAQ

How much does one AI image cost on eroq?

At the entry pack, from $0.10 a take on Flash Image, Krea2, Eroq Uncensored or Anima, up to $1.24 on Nano Banana Pro. The new flagships sit between, from $0.31 to $0.36.

What is the most expensive AI image model on eroq?

Nano Banana Pro, at 124 credits / image: 4 times the price of its sibling Nano Banana 2.1. It is a finishing engine, worth it for the frame that has to be right.

Do failed or refused images cost credits?

No. A failed render refunds itself, and a refused prompt is never charged. A delivered image you do not like is still a delivered image, which is why recipes matter.

Is a plan cheaper than packs for AI images?

Per credit, yes: $0.0083 on Hobby and $0.0075 on Studio, against $0.0100 on the entry pack. But no image model requires a plan.
