Seedance 1.0 Lite — fast drafts

Seedance Lite is the iteration engine: the Seedance prompt language and motion at 720p, 3 to 12 seconds, from 40 credits a clip. It is included from the $15 Hobby plan, which makes it the cheapest way to storyboard a whole film before spending Pro credits on the keepers.

The draft engine

Blocking a scene means rendering it several times: a different camera move, a tighter lens, a slower tempo. On Lite each of those attempts costs 40 to 110 credits, so four takes of a 5-second scene come to 240 credits — less than two Pro renders. Once the composition works, the same prompt and seed go to Pro or Seedance 2.5 for the final.

What it shares with Pro

  • The same prompt register and rack handling — a prompt tuned on Lite carries over.
  • Native aspect ratios, image-to-video from references and Characters.
  • A seed, so re-renders can be controlled.

Starting points

Every tile opens the studio with the prompt already written.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Seedance Lite and Pro?

Lite tops out at 720p and costs less than half; Pro renders 1080p with stronger motion fidelity. Same lengths (3–12 s), same inputs, same prompt style.

Which plan includes Seedance Lite?

Hobby ($15/month) and every plan above it. Pay-as-you-go accounts render on Motion One.

How cheap is a draft?

40 credits for a 3-second clip, 60 for 5 seconds — roughly 40 to 60 cents at the entry pack rate, less on a plan.
