# Creative testing

> A creative testing workflow for Meta and TikTok: angles in static batches, hooks in video ads, variants of the winner. About 624 credits for a weekly test.

Creative is the lever a small brand controls best, and the one that runs out fastest. Testing works when each test changes one thing: the angle, the hook, the visual, the face. The Ads Studio is built around that loop: a batch of static ads spreads angles for you, a video ad tests a hook, and the Ad Multiplier makes new versions of the winner without touching what made it win.

## A weekly loop

- Monday: a static batch, three angles with four ads each, copy written per angle. Upload them as separate ads in one ad set.
- Midweek: read the results in your ads manager. The angle that wins is the message; the losers tell you what not to say.
- Thursday: a video ad on the winning angle, with a hook that says it in the first second.
- When a video wins: the Multiplier, ×6 variants with new faces and places, to keep it fresh as frequency climbs.

## Change one thing at a time

A variant should differ from its parent in one dimension, or the result teaches nothing. Static batches vary the angle and the copy; the Multiplier varies the character, the outfit, the location or the product while the script, the cut and the audio stay. Name each ad after what it tests so results map back to the batch.

## What a week costs

Twelve static ads on Eroq One are 240 credits and six 8-second variants of a winning video on Replace are 384: about 624 credits for a week of testing, under $7 at the entry pack. Planning the batch and writing the variants are free.

## FAQ

### What is creative testing?

Running several versions of an ad against the same audience to learn which message, visual or format sells best, then making more of the winner. It is how ad accounts fight creative fatigue.

### Does eroq run or analyze the tests?

No. eroq makes the creatives; you run them and read spend, click-through and conversions in your ads manager.

### How many variants should I test at once?

As many as your budget can give a fair chance. A common rule of thumb is a handful of ads per ad set, each different in one thing, rather than dozens that each get a few impressions.

### What is the difference between a new concept and a variant?

A concept is a new idea: a new angle or a new format. A variant keeps the idea and changes one element, such as the face or the setting. Static batches are good at concepts; the Multiplier is made for variants.
