# AI clips and voice-over, straight into your Media Pool

> Generate AI video clips, images and voice-over inside DaVinci Resolve Studio: each render lands in an « eroq » bin of your Media Pool, or straight on the timeline.

Open eroq from Workspace → Scripts, write the shot and render it — the file lands in an « eroq » bin of the current project and, if you want, at the end of your timeline. The frame under the playhead can be the start of the clip.

## Set it up

1. Download the zip and run the installer inside (install.command on macOS and Linux, install.bat on Windows).
2. In Resolve, open Workspace → Scripts → Utility → eroq and click Connect eroq — sign in and Allow in the browser.
3. Pick Video, Image or Speech, write the prompt and Generate: the render appears in the « eroq » bin.

## What you get

### Media Pool, not a downloads folder

Every render is imported into an « eroq » bin of the open project; tick « Append to timeline » to cut it in immediately. Several renders can run at once while you keep editing.

### The current frame as the start

« Use current frame » sends the frame under the playhead as the clip's first frame (on engines with image-to-video) or as an image reference. A five-second Seedance 2.0 Mini clip is 45 credits.

### Voice-over in one step

Type the line, pick a voice or one of your clones, and the audio lands next to your footage.

### No key to paste

Connecting opens eroq in your browser: sign in, click Allow, done. The app gets its own key, listed as « <app> (connected) » under Developers → API keys — revoke it there and the connection stops.

## Requirements

- DaVinci Resolve Studio — Python is built in from 21.1; 18.5 to 21.0 need Python 3 installed
- Not the free edition from 19.1 on: Blackmagic made script windows Studio-only in 19.1, and free 21.1 ignores Python scripts
- An eroq account — free to create

## FAQ

### Does it work in the free version of Resolve?

Only up to 19.0.x. Blackmagic made script windows (UIManager) a Studio feature in 19.1, and since 21.1 the free edition ignores Python scripts altogether — on those versions eroq explains this and stops.

### Where do the files go?

Into Movies/eroq/<project> on macOS (Videos/eroq elsewhere), then into the project's « eroq » bin — Resolve's scripting API does not expose the project folder.

### Why does « Use current frame » use my eroq Storage for video?

The video API takes picture links, so the frame is uploaded to your Storage first (folder « DaVinci Resolve »). It costs no credits and counts toward your storage quota.

### What content is allowed?

eroq is adults-only and allows mature fiction between adult characters. Minors, real people without consent and illegal content are refused by policy on every surface. Inside an assistant, the assistant's own usage policy also applies to what it will ask eroq for.

### How do I disconnect?

Remove the connection in the app, and revoke its key under Developers → API keys on eroq (it is named after the app, « … (connected) »). Revoking alone is enough to cut access immediately.
