# Credit ceilings and rate shares

> Cap what a member spends per month and how much of the workspace's rate limits they may use.

In Members, each person has two dials. A monthly credit ceiling stops their generations once they have spent that much in the calendar month — refunds from failed renders do not count against it. A rate share narrows their part of the workspace's per-minute limits. Both apply to their API keys as well. The roster shows each member's credits this month next to their role.
