# Render the storyboard

> Each scene renders on its own, with takes and re-renders; continuous shots start the next scene on the last frame of the previous one.

_Help center › Cinema_

The Storyboard tab shows a card per scene. Render a scene, render several, or render the whole film — scenes are billed one by one, so an empty wallet stops cleanly between two scenes rather than halfway. A scene can have several takes; pick the one that goes in the cut.

## Continuous shots

With Continuous shots on (the default), scene N+1 starts on the last frame of scene N: the frame is captured, uploaded to a Film frames folder in Storage, and sent as the start frame. The next scene waits for the previous one to finish. Re-rendering a scene, or changing its take, marks the scenes after it as stale so you know to re-render them too.

## Changed since render

A scene whose text, camera or length changed after its last render says so on the card. The old take stays until you render again — nothing is discarded by itself.
