# The Ad Multiplier: variants of a winning ad

> One video ad into ×3 to ×12 variants with a new character, outfit, location or product; the motion, the cut and the audio stay.

1. Open the brand → Multiplier.
2. Pick the ad: one of the brand's video ads, or "Choose a video" from your Library, Storage or computer.
3. Choose ×3, ×6, ×9 or ×12, and what changes: Character, Outfit, Location, Product. Add a note for every variant if needed ("for the Japanese market").
4. Leave "Remove burned-in captions" on to ship clean variants. Multiply.

## How it works

- Clap looks at a frame of the ad and writes each variant (free).
- The clip is prepared once; each variant is a Replace edit of it, keeping the motion, the cut, the timing and the original audio.
- Replace reads up to 15 seconds of the clip, at 8 credits per second; Replace Pro is available from the Creator plan.
- Variants land in the brand's folder and History; a failed one refunds itself.

## FAQ

### Can the Multiplier change what is said?

No: every variant keeps the original audio. For a new line, make a new video ad.

### What if my clip is longer than 15 seconds?

Its first 15 seconds are used. Trim it first if another part matters more.
