# The video lineup — every engine, one price rule, one set of controls

> Every video engine on eroq in one table — Seedance, Veo, Sora, Kling, Hailuo, Wan, Runway, Grok and our own Motion One — with lengths, resolutions, sound, references and plan gates, and how the per-second price is set.

The video roster grew to **16 engines** this month, and the generation engines are named, because people pay to choose *the* model. Seedance in four sizes, Veo 3.1 in three, Sora 2 Pro, Kling 3.0 in two, Hailuo 3 in two, Wan 3.0, Runway Gen-4.5, Grok Imagine — and [Motion One](/models/eroq-motion-one), our own engine, the uncensored one. This guide is the table of the text- and image-to-video engines, the price rule behind every number, and how the same controls map onto engines that do not all do the same things.

## The table

Prices are a five-second clip at the engine's default resolution with sound on, from the billing function — the same numbers the studio, the API and the plugins quote.

| Engine | 5 s | Length | Resolution | Sound | Refs | Start / end frame | Plan |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Seedance 2.5](/models/seedance-2-5) | 310 | 4–30 s | 480p, 720p | yes | 6 + voice | both | Creator |
| [Seedance 2.0](/models/seedance-2-0) | 200 | 4–15 s | 480p–1080p | yes | 6 + voice | both | Creator |

| [Seedance 2.0 Mini](/models/seedance-2-0-mini) | 45 | 4–15 s | 480p, 720p | yes | 6 + voice | both | any plan |
| [Veo 3.1](/models/veo-3-1) | 530 | 4, 6, 8 s | 720p, 1080p | yes | 3 | both | Creator |
| [Veo 3.1 Fast](/models/veo-3-1-fast) | 135 | 4, 6, 8 s | 720p, 1080p | yes | 3 | both | Hobby |
| [Veo 3.1 Lite](/models/veo-3-1-lite) | 70 | 4, 6, 8 s | 720p, 1080p | yes | — | both | any plan |

| [Kling 3.0](/models/kling-3) | 170 | 3–15 s | 720p | yes | 4 | both | Hobby |
| [Hailuo 3](/models/hailuo-3) | 175 | 5–15 s | 2K | yes | 3 + voice | both | Creator |
| [Hailuo 3 Max](/models/hailuo-3-max) | 110 | 5–15 s | 480p, 768p | no | — | both | Hobby |
| [Wan 3.0](/models/wan-3) | 135 | 2–30 s | 480p–1080p | yes | 3 | start | any plan |
| [Runway Gen-4.5](/models/runway-gen-4-5) | 160 | 2–10 s | 720p | no | — | start | Creator |
| [Grok Imagine](/models/grok-imagine) | 185 | 1–15 s | 480p–1080p | no | — | start | Hobby |
| [Motion One](/models/eroq-motion-one) | 60 | 5–10 s | 768p | built in | — | start | any plan |

"Voice" in the references column means the engine takes an audio reference: a character's voice sample rides the render so their lines come out in their voice. "Both" means a start frame *and* an end frame; a start frame is what image-to-video and Cinema's continuous shots use.

## The price rule

Every third-party engine is priced **per second at a resolution**, with sound as a factor on engines where it costs more, and the clip price is the seconds times the rate — not a five-second anchor with a discount. So a ten-second clip is twice a five-second one: 90 credits on Seedance 2.0 Mini, 340 on Kling 3.0, 1,060 on Veo 3.1. The exceptions are engines with extras — a reference picture on Hailuo 3, an image frame on Grok, a 21:9 frame on the Seedance 2.0 family — which add a fixed amount the studio shows before you render.

Motion One is flat: 60 credits for five seconds or ten.

The rule behind the rates: each engine's rate is its real cost to us plus a margin, checked against the live catalogue by a script that fails when a margin slips or a length disappears. What you see in the studio's cost line, in `list_models` over MCP, in a plugin's panel and in an article like this one comes from **one function** — the one that charges — so the numbers never disagree.

Failed renders refund themselves. A content refusal upstream is a refund too, with a `content_blocked` error. When an engine is saturated you get a busy error and are not charged.

## One set of controls

The studio, Cinema and the API expose the same knobs on every engine; what changes is which ones an engine honors, and the caps clamp the rest *before* billing rather than silently reducing after:

- **Seconds** on the engine's grid — Veo in steps of two, Sora in steps of four, the rest by the second — and under your plan's cap (15 on Hobby, 20 on Creator, 30 from Studio up).
- **Resolution** from what the engine serves; the price follows it. 4K is not offered on any engine — the clip would not fit the pipeline that saves it.
- **Aspect** from the engine's native list; non-native ones are greyed with a switch.
- **Sound** on or off, on engines with a soundtrack. Off is cheaper where the engine charges for it.
- **Seed**, where honored — the Seedance and Veo families, Wan, Runway.
- **References**: up to the engine's count; a start frame replaces them on engines where a start image makes the engine ignore references, and is then not charged as one.
- **Cast and voices** in Cinema: sheets as references, voice samples on Seedance 2.x and Hailuo 3.

Asking an engine for a knob it lacks is refused with the reason, not swapped for a lesser render.

## Picking one

- **Cheapest good clip**: Seedance 2.0 Mini, on every account. Sound, references, start and end frames.
- **Longest take**: Seedance 2.5 or Wan 3.0, up to 30 seconds, plan permitting.
- **Sharpest**: Hailuo 3 at 2K; Veo 3.1, Seedance 2.0, Wan 3.0 and Grok at 1080p.
- **Faces that hold**: engines with references — Seedance, Kling, Hailuo 3, Veo 3.1, Wan. The [consistency guide](/blog/consistent-characters-ai-video) compares them.
- **Physics and multi-shot from one prompt**: Sora 2 Pro.
- **Uncensored**: Motion One, the only engine that renders adult content — the rest are moderated upstream.

The [engine chooser](/blog/which-ai-video-model-should-i-use) goes deeper per use case.

## FAQ

### Why are the third-party engines named when the image and chat models are not?

Because for video, the engine *is* the choice — people compare Kling and Seedance the way they compare lenses. Image, chat and voice models are ours to tune and are named by us.

### Is Motion One's engine named anywhere?

No. Motion One is eroq's own engine, with its own pipeline; its upstream is not part of the product.

### Do prices change?

Rates follow our costs; when one moves, every surface moves with it because they all read the same function. This article's numbers are resolved when the page loads, not typed.

### Why can't I pick 4K?

The saving pipeline has a memory ceiling a 4K clip would break. 2K on Hailuo 3 is the current top.

Compare them on [/models](/models), or pick one in the [Video tool](/studio/video) and render five seconds.
