# AI video, stills and voice-over inside Premiere Pro and After Effects

> One eroq panel for Premiere Pro and After Effects renders AI clips, stills and voice-over and imports them into your project. Install, connect, engines, costs and limits.

An editor's AI workflow usually looks like this: open a browser tab, render, download, find the file, import, repeat. The eroq panel for Premiere Pro and After Effects collapses it into the panel itself — write the shot, pick the engine, and the clip is imported into the open project when it is done. Same for stills and voice-over.

One extension runs in both applications: Premiere Pro 2019 (v13) and later, After Effects 2019 (v16) and later, on macOS and Windows.

## Install (beta)

During the beta the panel ships unsigned, which Adobe's apps refuse by default. The one-time switch is documented in the README inside the download:

1. Download the zip from [eroq for Premiere Pro](/plugins/premiere-pro).
2. Allow unsigned extensions once — on macOS a single `defaults write com.adobe.CSXS.<version> PlayerDebugMode 1` per CEP version your apps use; on Windows a registry string with the same name.
3. Copy the `eroq` folder into Adobe's CEP extensions folder (`~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CEP/extensions/` on macOS, `%APPDATA%\Adobe\CEP\extensions\` on Windows).
4. Restart the app and open **Window → Extensions → eroq**.

The switch is only needed because the beta package is unsigned.

## Connect

The first screen is a single **Connect eroq** button. It opens eroq.ai in your browser; sign in and click **Allow**, and the browser hands the connection back to the panel on its own — no code to copy, no key to paste. The panel's key appears under Developers → API keys as « Premiere Pro on *your computer* (connected) » (or After Effects), revocable at any time. A pasted API key still works as a fallback.

## Video

Write the shot, pick the engine and the length, pick the aspect, **Generate**.

- **Engines by name.** Seedance, Kling, Veo and the rest are listed with their availability and price; engines your plan does not open say which plan does. A five-second clip on Seedance 2.0 Mini is 45 credits, and eroq's own Motion One is 60 a clip.
- **Renders take minutes.** The panel waits — up to 45 minutes, the engines' own deadlines — and shows whether the job is waiting for a worker or generating. Keep editing meanwhile. If it gives up waiting, a **Check again** row resumes the same job, and the clip is in your [eroq library](/studio/library) either way.
- **Imported where you work.** The finished clip is imported into the open project and saved under `~/Documents/eroq/`, with an **Import again** button per file.

Write prompts for video as motion plus camera: « slow dolly-in on a neon-lit alley in the rain, puddles rippling, handheld » beats a list of adjectives.

## Stills

The Image tab renders in five formats — 16:9, 1:1, 4:3, 3:4, 9:16 — for plates, inserts, title backgrounds and thumbnails. Stills are imported like any other file (WebP renders are converted to PNG first, since neither app imports WebP). A picture is 10 credits on Krea 2.

## Voice-over

Type the line, pick a voice — the roster or one of your clones — and the MP3 is imported next to your footage. Voice One costs 3 credits per 100 characters, so a thirty-second read is a handful of credits: cheap enough to temp every line of an animatic.

## Premiere Pro or After Effects?

Same panel, different habits:

- **In Premiere**, it is a B-roll and temp-VO machine: fill the gaps in a cut, audition three versions of an establishing shot, lay a scratch voice under a sequence before the real session.
- **In After Effects**, it is a plate generator: backgrounds for comps, textures, insert shots at the frame format you need, and stills to project onto cards.

## Limits worth knowing

- Clips land as files; they do not replace a timeline selection. You place them.
- Video-to-video engines (Replace) need a source clip and are not listed in the panel yet.
- The panel shows eroq's own error messages as they come — plan gates, balance, policy refusals. Failed renders refund themselves.

## FAQ

### Does it need an internet connection the whole time?

Only while connecting and rendering. Finished files are on your disk.

### Can I use my own API key instead of the sign-in?

Yes — « Use an API key instead » on the first screen. Keys you paste are never revoked by the panel, since they may be in use elsewhere.

### Is it on Adobe Exchange?

Not yet; the beta is a direct download with a one-time setup.

### Does it slow Premiere down?

No. Requests run in the panel, rendering happens on eroq's side, and the app only imports finished files.

Get it from [eroq for Premiere Pro](/plugins/premiere-pro) or [eroq for After Effects](/plugins/after-effects) — it is the same download.
